Therapy for Disordered Eating

Is this for me?

Do you have a set of rules about food and exercise that stops you from engaging fully with life?  Are your negative thoughts about your body and your self preventing you from spending time with the people that you care about?  If so, you might be struggling with a disordered relationship with food.

Disordered eating is not limited to clinical eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder.  It also does not discriminate between folks of a certain gender identity, socioeconomic status, ethnicity or age.  If you're concerned about how you're thinking and acting around food, you can reach out for support and uncover what's really driving your relationship with food and your body.

At Freedom To Be Therapy I provide integrative therapy that is tailored to your individual needs.   I look beyond the symptoms of disordered eating to support you to come back to yourself and your body's inner wisdom so that you can focus on living your life to the fullest.

I align my work with a Health at Every Size® approach, which means that I am committed to offering evidence-based support that respects body diversity and honours difference and diversity.   A HAES® approach can support you to build critical awareness about the social and cultural pressures we experience via diet-culture, and to integrate compassionate self-care in to your life so that you can expand your definition of health and wellbeing -- and ultimately, your world.
